Woman’s body found in Alawathugoda…

This morning, a young woman’s body was discovered in a rice field in the Kandy neighborhood of Alawathugoda (11 March).

Likewise, a 26-year-old woman’s body was discovered this morning in a swampy region of a paddy field after her mother informed the police and locals that her daughter was not at home.

“She wasn’t there when I opened the door when I arrived home. I was shown by my younger daughter’s sister’s muddy shoes, and I immediately informed our neighbors. I also informed the police. Afterwards, someone informed me that they had located her,” the victim’s mother added.
