“Warrant not in need for the arrest of Diana Gamage”- Colombo Magistrate Court

The Colombo Chief Magistrate has notified the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) that if State Minister Diana Gamage violates the Immigration and Emigration Act, no warrant will be needed for her arrest.

The British High Commission in Colombo was asked to provide a report on Gamage’s citizenship, and the CID was given orders to look into this matter further last month.

Due to her citizenship, the State Minister today runs the risk of losing her position in Parliament.
