US with a outward eye on us…

According to a senior State Department official, the US is extremely concerned that the loans China is providing to Pakistan and Sri Lanka, two countries that are immediately adjacent to India, may be used as leverage for coercion.
Prior to Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to India, Donald Lu, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, warned reporters that he was “very concerned” about Chinese loans to nations in India’s near neighborhood being used as coercive leverage.
From March 1 to March 3, the top American diplomat will be in New Delhi for a three-day official visit.
According to Lu, the US is encouraging the nations in the region that include India to make their own judgments without feeling pressured by an outside partner.
