Uganda to a Anti – gay bill…..

On Wednesday, appeals for Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to veto a “appalling” anti-gay bill were spearheaded by the United Nations and the United States.
In a chaotic nearly seven-hour session, Ugandan lawmakers enacted the Anti-Homosexuality Act late on Tuesday, ordering severe penalties for anyone who engages in same-sex conduct.
In the conservative East African country, homosexuality was already against the law. It was not immediately clear what new penalties had been agreed upon, but there were rumors that some offenders might face the death penalty or even life in prison.
