Three people detained for torching a car…..

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has detained three people for torching a police car on May 9, 2022, in the Panchikawatte district.

Following an inquiry into the event by the Commercial Crimes Division of the CID, the suspects—identified as inhabitants of Colombo 12 and Maligawatte—were detained. They were 18 years old, 31 years old, and 46 years old.

They must therefore appear today (20 April) before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
