Victoria Nuland, the US Secretary for Political Affairs met President Ranil Wickramesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat a short while ago.

The President thanked the Us Government for the continued alliance and support during  the tough times for the nation while the Us government’s support towards the progressing attempts towards the retrieval of the Island.

Nuland’s arrival was to mark the 75th anniversary of Us – Sri Lanka relations.

Upon her arrival today morning, Nuland was embraced by the Us Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung.
