the Mysterious passing away of a woman…..

The first public release of security camera footage of a Sri Lankan woman prior to her passing away at a detention facility in central Japan occurred on Thursday thanks to attorneys for her family. 

At a press conference in Tokyo, a portion of the five hours of security camera footage released by the government that showed Ratnayake Liyanage Wishma Sandamali, who passed away in March 2021 at the age of 33 while being detained at the Nagoya Regional Immigration Services Bureau, was shown. 

A portion of the newly revealed video, which was shot less than two weeks prior to Wishma’s passing, depicts the woman bedridden and pleading with police to take her to the hospital after informing them that she is unable to walk or eat.
