The Election commission to meet on Thursday….

The Election Commission will meet on Thursday, April 16, to discuss the impending election for local government.

Attorney Nimal Punchihewa, the chairman of the Election Commission, announced that the meeting would take place at the Election Secretariat at 10:30 AM.

According to reports, the meeting’s main topics will be the Ministry of Finance’s failure to release funds in a timely manner for the Local Government Election and the necessary corrective action.

According to the Government Printer, a second letter asking for money for the printing of materials for the Local Government Election was addressed to the Treasury.
