Tesla’s wonder blunder…

Tesla may have its sights set on the Brazilian-based Sigma Lithium (NASDAQ:SGML), according to a story from Bloomberg yesterday. The conversations are private. Tesla is considering a number of businesses, including Sigma Lithium. The Grota do Cirilo Project, owned entirely by Sigma Lithium, is now being put into service in Brazil. The project’s first phase is expected to produce 270,000 tonnes annually (36,700 LCE annually). Phases 2 and 3 of the project, if approved, are anticipated to increase production of battery-grade sustainable lithium concentrate to 766,000 tonnes annually (or 104,200 LCE annually) in a cutting-edge Greentech lithium plant that uses 100% renewable energy, 100% recycled water, and 100% dry-stacked tailings.
