Tariffs to elevate water…

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) predicts that water rates will likely rise soon.
A NWSDB spokeswoman noted that because electricity rates have climbed significantly, the organization is forced to take action to boost the prices.
Electricity costs account for 35% of the overall costs associated with producing and distributing water.
The NWSDB claims that because of the significant increase in electricity prices, it must shoulder large costs for these efforts, and as a result, water rates would also rise.
