Student deceased after in case of a drowning….

A South Eastern University student perished while swimming in the sea with a group of other students off the Oluvil shore, which is behind the campus.

The locals had rescued him and taken him to the hospital, according to the police. But, when he was brought into the hospital, he was declared dead.

The deceased student was an Oluvil resident of 21 years old.

After the post-mortem inspection, his body was given to the relatives.

The event is being investigated further by Akkaraipattu Police.
