Stranded hikers found….

In Ududumbara’s Knuckles mountain range, at least 33 young people who were reported missing after getting lost on a walk to Gerandigala Mountain have been found safe.

Due to heavy rain and fog, a group of young people who had gone on a trek to the mountain were unable to return, and the Ududumbara Police had learned of their whereabouts.

In response, a team made up of police officials, forest conservation officers, and army officers had started a rescue mission to find the young people who had gone missing.

31 juvenile males and 2 young females were successfully recovered throughout the operation
