Sri Lanka’s Embassy for Turkey urges to contact Stranded Sri Lankans…

Two emergency phone numbers have been established by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Ankara to answer questions about or offer information regarding Sri Lankans residing in Turkey, where more than 4,300 people were killed by two major earthquakes and numerous aftershocks.

As the death toll from the powerful earthquakes and aftershocks that shook a large portion of Turkey and northwest of Syria on Monday (Feb. 06) continues to rise, Sri Lanka’s ambassador to Turkey, Hasanthi Dissanayake, appealed earlier today to the general public to share any information about Sri Lankans living in Turkey.
