Sri Lanka’s Biggest energy demand….

According to a statement issued by Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera, yesterday (19 April) saw Sri Lanka’s biggest energy demand in recent memory.

Today (20 April), the Minister said on Twitter that Sri Lanka had its greatest energy demand in recent memory, requiring a net generation of 49.53 GWh to generate electricity yesterday.

He added that estimates for a projected energy demand surpassing 50 GWh were generated for today based on the actual demand that was observed early this morning
