Sri Lanka Railways reports schedule changes…

The Sri Lanka Railways reports that several scheduled trains have been canceled today (Feb. 13) as a result of a strike called by the union representing engine drivers.

As a result, a number of train trips, including office trains, were canceled this morning. Additionally, it was revealed that the fast train travelling between Mahao and Moratuwa on the main railway line had been canceled.

On top of that, a number of additional office trains on the major railway line were postponed this morning.

While the ‘Samudradewi’ train from Galle to Maradana on the coastline line continued to run as usual, the office train from Hikkaduwa to Maradana on the coastal line was apparently cancelled.
