Significant improve in Foreign remittances….

According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), the total amount of foreign remittances sent home by migrant workers in Sri Lanka in February 2023 was USD 407 million.

The central bank’s statistics show that only USD 205 million in overseas remittances were received in February of last year.

In the first two months of this year, Sri Lanka recorded remittances from migrant workers totaling more than $400 million; in January, the amount reached USD 437.5 million.
