Royal secures a victory….

Royal College Colombo defeated S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia by a score of 181 runs to win the 144th Battle of the Blues.

The Battle of the Blues has been won by Royal College 36 times.

In the game played at the Colombo SSC ground, Royal, who was given the opportunity to bat first, declared their first innings after scoring 326 runs for the cost of 8 wickets.

S. Thomas’ were only able to score 153 runs in response.

The Thomians were then given a daunting 342 run victory goal when Royal College declared their second innings at 168 for the loss of 4 wickets.
