Reserve assets rise up to 2,217 USD….

According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets at the end of February 2023 totaled USD 2,217 million (CBSL).

From the official reserve asset value of USD 2,121 million in January 2023, this shows a rise of 4.5%.

However, the swap facility from the People’s Bank of China, worth approximately USD 1.4 billion, is included in the existing official reserve assets and is subject to usage restrictions.
