People have lost all sense of Justice – His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith..

According to His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s moral collapse is the primary factor contributing to the current situation.
Speaking at a BMICH event on Friday, February 10, the Cardinal claimed that Sri Lanka is experiencing both economic collapse and moral collapse.
Morally, we are unable to uphold moral principles, and people no longer care about justice.
They no longer know what is proper.
The Cardinal expressed concern about the Independence Day celebration on February 4 and claimed that the ceremony, which included a 21 gun salute, the hoisting of the flag, roadside parades, ambassadors, and dignitaries, was only planned to demonstrate to the outside world that Sri Lanka is a great country that travels around with a “begging bowl.”
He emphasized that the country’s historical failures, particularly the introduction of an open economy that led to the country’s economy becoming heavily dependent, were the reason it had reached this critical juncture.
