Objection for IMF proposal…..

Ranil Wickremesinghe, the president of Sri Lanka, informed the parliament on Wednesday (22) that the parliament must be willing to accept the IMF report before he can meet with the global and bilateral creditors as well as the private bondholders.

In order to discuss any concerns with the IMF when the delegation returns to Sri Lanka, he asked the house to accept the report.

Sajith Premadasa, leader of the opposition, pointed out that the report and the President’s presentation are not a way to accept the IMF program proposal.
