No risk in Lysteria Spreading…..

The Ratnapura District is not at risk of becoming infected with Listeria, according to Sri Lankan health authorities.
Dr. Shrini Alahapperuma, director of health services for the Ratnapura District, told News 1st that after a sick woman passed away at the Ratnapura General Hospital, health workers paid close attention to the cause of death.
The dead was said to have become unwell on a journey to Adam’s Peak.
Listeriosis is an ailment that is typically brought on by consuming food that has been exposed to the Listeria monocytogenes bacterium.
