New Eggs given the green light……

The Department of Animal Production and Health has given its approval for the import of eggs from India.
The pertinent report would be sent to the Ministry of Commerce today, according to Gunadasa Samarasinghe, secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Medical Research Institute has also given its clearance to the imported eggs, according to Minister of Commerce Nalin Fernando.
He continued by saying that it had been determined to sell eggs to associated companies for Rs. 35 each.
The Ministry of Trade recently took action to import 02 million eggs from India to Sri Lanka in order to regulate the price of eggs on the market and address the shortage of eggs.
