MP stance on IMF deal to be approved…..

The Extended Fund Facility (EFF) deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, and it is now possible to get the opinions of all members of the legislature.

At the Cabinet briefing conducted in Colombo today (18 April), Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardena stated that the proposal was agreed by the Cabinet at their meeting held yesterday (17 April).

Therefore, it has been agreed to ask the MPs for their opinion on the matter and take the necessary actions to incorporate them in the legislative process.
