More tourists to visit the Island……

By April 20, 2023, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) expects a total of 400,000 visitors to have arrived.

55,000 tourists had been sighted entering the island as of April 16 alone, according to SLTDA Chairman Priyantha Fernando.

In light of this, he stated, “We are hopeful that we will achieve the target of 400,000 tourists by the 20th of this month.” He also noted that the majority of visitors since January have been of the Russian and Indian nationalities.

He added that although many Chinese tourists were anticipated this month, this was not the case, and as a result, more Chinese visitors are anticipated next month.
