Military deployed to Colombo Fort…

The Colombo Fort region has seen the deployment of many military units to help manage the situation after a number of groups took to the streets this morning (08 February) to organize protest marches and rallies.

Several demonstrations began this morning, with a variety of groups marching to the streets in support of various causes, such as the new tax law and the 13th Amendment, including trade union activists, IRD employees, the Maha Sangha, and government executives.
