Migrant workers in Sri Lanka increased…..

According to data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, remittances sent abroad by migrant workers in Sri Lanka increased significantly in March 2023. (CBSL).
As a result, last month’s workers’ remittances were USD 568.3 million, a rise of USD 161 million from February 2023.
In the first quarter of 2023, Sri Lanka consistently recorded remittances from migrant workers totaling more than $400 million, bringing the country’s total inflows to USD 1,413.2 million.
In January and February, the amount of money sent home by workers increased to USD 437.5 million and USD 407 million, respectively.
