Indian Visa Impersonator arrested….

A person who created a phishing website impersonating the Kandy branch of the Indian visa application center and scammed people of their money has been apprehended.
The defendant, according to the authorities, had taken money from people to falsely issue visas.
Together with a laptop and a cell phone, the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) made the arrest on Tuesday, March 28 in the Wattegama neighborhood.
The 29-year-old apparently lives in the Panwila neighborhood.
The suspect was produced before the chief magistrate of Colombo and held until April 4 on suspicion of deception and fraud as well as violating the Computer Crime Act and the Intellectual Property Act.
