Imported Eggs to Sri Lanka….

The long-awaited first shipment of imported eggs landed in Sri Lanka this morning (March 23), according to T.A.D. Ranjith, the chairman of the Sri Lanka State Trade (General) Corporation.

A total of 2 million eggs from India were imported in the consignment, which was initially expected to arrive in late February but was repeatedly delayed by certification issues.

The Health Ministry will conduct the required testing before releasing the shipment of eggs.
