ICE on Shore….

The Sri Lanka Navy has discovered about 04 kg (wet weight) of crystal methamphetamine, popularly known as crystal meth or ICE, drifting in the sea during a special search operation in the Talaimannar Sand Dune Sea area.

On Sunday, SLNS Thammanna conducted the special operation in the North Central Naval Command’s Sand Dune Sea region (02).

The drugs, which weighed around 4 kg and 500 g (wet weight), were discovered in 04 parcels that had been put in the suspicious sack that the naval soldiers involved in this operation found drifting in the waters.

Due to ongoing naval operations in the area, the Navy believes that the drug smugglers may have abandoned the drugs after being unable to bring them ashore.
