HRCSL to investigate the postponement of the LG election…

The delay in holding the Local Government Election was the subject of a special investigation, according to Sri Lanka’s Human Rights Commission.

According to a spokeswoman, the HRCSL has received numerous complaints about the situation; as a result, an investigation will be conducted.

The spokesperson announced that the National Election Commission would be called upon to investigate the situation.

However, the National Election Commission had informed the HRCSL that a separate date had been asked to attend the HRCSL because of an ongoing legal dispute
