Galle Face Green to designated as public leisure area….

The Galle Face Green has been designated exclusively for public leisure time by the Cabinet of Ministers.

With an initial investment of roughly Rs. 220 million, the Sri Lanka Port Authority has taken up the development of Galle Face Green as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.

At the Cabinet Press Conference this morning (April 18), Minister Bandula Gunawardena, the Cabinet’s spokesman, stressed that an astounding Rs. 6.6 million had been spent simply to restore the properties damaged during the ‘Aragalaya’ protest movement.
