Efforts are made for Economic Growth….

Efforts are being made, according to President Ranil Wickremesinghe, to ensure economic growth.

The Head of State remarked during this morning’s (7 March) Parliamentary session that after some difficult but important economic decisions had been made, efforts were now being made to assure economic development.

He continued by saying that despite their extreme unpopularity, the economic measures were implemented in order to stabilize the nation’s crumbling economy, and that economic development is now being ensured, gradually, despite the continual misery they have caused the society as a whole.
