Dr.Nandalal’s assured on debt sustainability…..

Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, governor of the central bank, is confident that Sri Lanka would be able to achieve debt sustainability by the deadlines outlined in the IMF program that is now in effect.

The governor joined “At HydePark” on Ada Derana 24 and expressed his belief that Sri Lanka has entered a new era as a result of the government’s aggressive efforts to carry out controversial measures mandated by the IMF bailout package.

Although the administration will only be able to soften some of the strictest rules that have been implemented recently, he guaranteed that the situation in the country would improve over the next months.
