CPC assures uniform distribution of fuel….

According to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), the distribution of petrol to all filling stations across the nation is proceeding as usual and without any issues.

The recent trade union strike by the petroleum staff over a number of demands caused a delay in the distribution of fuel.

Although the government deployed security forces personnel to ensure a smooth continuation of the process and sent numerous trade unionists on mandatory leave, it nonetheless took strict measures to restore normal fuel distribution.

The CPC said that yesterday (March 30), about 200 fuel bowsers left the Kolonnawa petroleum storage terminal to deliver fuel to filling stations.
