Coal in still for backup….

In spite of recent rumors from the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and the media, Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has stated that there won’t be a lack of coal to run the Norochcholai Power Station.

The Minister ensured that the necessary supplies have been acquired by posting a thorough breakdown of the number of coal cargo stocks needed for the power plant to run on Twitter.

According to Wijesekera, 30 stocks of coal shipment are required to run the Norochcholai Power Station at full capacity in accordance with the CEB’s predicted generation for the upcoming season.
