Cabinet’s blessing for Betting and Gaming….

The Betting and Gaming Levy (Amendment) Bill, put out by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy, has been passed by the Cabinet of Ministers.

As a result, after receiving approval for the Amendment from the Attorney General as well, the Cabinet authorized the relevant Bill to be gazetted and presented to Parliament.

The Cabinet initially gave its blessing to the Betting and Gaming Levy Amendment, No. 40 of 1988, in April of last year.
