Boooru Moona under custody….

A wanted criminal named Ravindu Warnaranga, popularly known as “Booru Moona,” who escaped from police custody and was attempting to avoid capture, was apprehended in Avissawella on Friday (17).

SSP Nihal Thalduwa, a police spokesperson and attorney, told News 1st that “Booru Moona” was wanted by law enforcement for a number of killings and other crimes.

On February 24, “Booru Moona” attempted to board a flight from the Katunayake Airport to Dubai using a false name. He was stopped by immigration officers at the BIA and later turned over to the airport police.
