Body found of the drowned prisoner….

The body of the prisoner who drowned while trying to cross the Mahaweli River after attempting to flee from Pallekele’s Open Prison Camp has been found.

Police reported that the body was discovered following a search operation assisted by the Sri Lanka Navy and Pallekele Police.

According to the authorities, Colombo 15 was home to the 34-year-old deceased prisoner
