Best Anti – Corruption law imposed…..

The best anti-corruption law in South Asia will soon be passed in Parliament, according to President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

At a meeting with the heads of media organizations this afternoon (March 23), Wickremesinghe declared that the government intended to take all necessary steps to swiftly pass the best anti-corruption law in South Asia via Parliament.

Mahinda Siriwradena, secretary to the ministry of finance, who was also present at the meeting, announced that the ministry had just received the first payment of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), totaling USD 333 million.
