Applause to the Chief of President staff by the IMF……

Sagala Ratnayake, Chief of the Presidential Staff and Senior Advisor to the President on National Security, has emphasized the importance of holding public officials responsible for issues like financial control, anti-corruption efforts, and adherence to the rule of law if Sri Lanka is to emerge from its ongoing crisis.

 

During a session with officials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and heads of government institutions yesterday (20 March) at the Ministry of Finance Auditorium, Ratnayake, who doubles as the Chief of Presidential Staff, said this.

 

The IMF representatives applauded the Sri Lankan government’s efforts during the meeting to address the issue and accurately analyze the situation.
