Allegations against RK to pause….

The allegations brought by the Attorney General against former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake at the Colombo Permanent High Court Trial at Bar under the Public Property Act cannot be sustained, according to a writ decision issued by the Court of Appeal on Tuesday.
On the 29th and 31st of March 2016, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka held two bond auctions, and Karunanayake was accused in two incidents of criminal misuse of public funds.
On Tuesday (28), Justices Sobhitha Rajakaruna and Dhammika Ganepola heard two writ applications submitted by the former finance minister Ravi Karunayake, which contested the two cases filed with the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar. They then issued a writ order.
