Ali Sabry Disagrees with Anti Terrorism Bill..

Ali Sabry, the minister of foreign affairs for Sri Lanka, claims he disagrees with several of the draft Anti-Terrorism Bill’s provisions.
Speaking Friday night (April 10) on TV Derana’s “360°” show, he highlighted that all members of the cabinet share the view that the measure needs to be modified.
“There are some general things with which I disagree. I brought them up in the Cabinet.
“First, I object to giving a DIG the authority to issue detention orders. It can’t be permitted. That should either be given to the Minister, or at the very least, the Defense Secretary should retain that authority, he said.
