28 injured in the endeavours of the protest…

Following the protest march led by the Jathika Jana Balavegaya in Colombo on Sunday, 28 persons have been admitted to hospitals (26).

Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse the protest march that started at Colombo’s Vihara Maha Devi Park.

The National Hospital has received the injured patients for treatment.

In addition to other issues, the Local Government Election delays were one of the reasons for the protest.
