11 year old child was reported dead…..

After being struck by a lorry yesterday afternoon (18 April), an 11-year-old child was reportedly declared dead.

Accordingly, it has been made known that the youngster was struck by a lorry traveling in the opposite direction after getting off a bus that was traveling between Katupotha and Munamaldeniya in the Hettipola district.

The deceased has been identified as a sixth-grade student who lived in Walawwaththa’s Anukkanhena neighborhood.

The lorry driver has been detained in connection with the incident, and the Hettipola Police are still conducting further inquiries.
